What did GDPR mean for us?
The General Data Protection Regulations came into effect from the 25 May 2018. This new law supersedes the 1995 data protection directive and therefore Right of Light Consulting Ltd have acted accordingly.
GDPR applies to data, which means that any data that can identify a person directly or indirectly is considered Personal Data. The data we hold is mainly to fulfil a contract with our clients and where we have a legal duty.
Whilst many people may have considered this task to be an onerous one, we saw it as an opportunity to contact our clients, re-engage with contacts from historic projects and to get in touch with the people that have downloaded one of our useful fact sheets

In taking this action, we have reviewed the data we hold and ensured that is it up to date and accurate.
